GoPro Helmet Hero WIDE

The Go Pro Helmet Hero WIDE is the model up from the original Go Pro Hero which was a really good action camera.  The new model has a new, 5 Mega pixel camera (previously just 3 mega pixel) and the Go Pro Hero Wide will work better in poor light conditions.

The wide has a massive 170 degree field of view which means you’ll capture so much more in your video!  No longer will you just end up with a limited video of what happened, now you’ll be able to capture a lot of the stuff happening at the side!

The camera has similar modes as before, including video recording, single photos and they have improved the photo every 5 seconds so that you can get a photo every 2 seconds.  Another improvement is the camera is the video’s smoothness.  With the new Go Pro Hero Wide they have made it so that it is 40% smoother than the original model.

The video records at a resolution of 512×384 and it does record sound.  The sound from the Go Pro Hero can at times be a bit muffled, but this usually is not a big worry for most action camera users.  The camera supports SD cards up to 2GB.  A 2GB SD card should allow you to record just under one hours worth of video footage.

The Go Pro Helmet Hero WIDE pack contains a waterproof case which will allow you to take your camera down to a staggering 30 meters underwater.
