ATC 9000
The ATC9000 is Oregon Scientific first high definition action camera. Not only does the ATC9K offer full HD, but it also has a built in G Sensor which can record the force of gravity when you are starting, stopping and moving. The G sensor makes the camera ideal for the outdoors sports enthusiast as it is a fantastic feature which adds a little bit more information to your videos.
Along with the G sensor, the ATC 9000 also plots your route on a map via a GPS plug in (optional extra). This plug-in allows you to plot your location, it will record your speed and the distance you have travelled and put the information on Google Maps or Google Earth. When you plug your ATC 9000 into your computer you will be able to see these details as you watch your videos. This is really a fantastic feature. For amateurs it means you won’t forget where you were when taking the footage…and for professionals it may make it easier to show your newly discovered routes to your friends and fans.

The ATC 9000 is shock resistant, which means you don’t need to worry if you’ve got butter fingers and drop it…or if you make a mistake while using it and have some spectacular crash footage. Along with being shock resistant, which is unusual for a lot of action cameras, it is also waterproof to an impressive 20 meters. The ATC 9000 does not need an additional waterproof case like many of its competitors do. This means that the ATC 9000 is great for any scuba divers as well as those times when you get caught out in the wet.
The ATC 9000 uses Micro SD cards and is compatible with micro sd cards up to 32GB in size! Just like the ATC 5000, the ATC 9000 also has a built in LCD screen. This allows you to make sure that the camera is angled correctly when you’ve attached it to your helmet, handlebars (etc), but also allows you to review footage before you get home! The ATC9000 also comes with a laser pointer which makes lining up your camera even easier. Included with the ATC 9000 is a USB cable which works with both PCs and Macs, along with a HDMI cable which allows you to plug it straight into, and watch your footage directly from your HD television.
The ATC 9000 comes with all the software you need to view all the footage and data on a single screen. The software also makes it really easy to edit your videos. You get a wide range of mounting accessories that allow you to attach it to your bicycle’s handle bars, your helmet as well as on your car, motorbike, arm, jacket or rucksack…and many more.
The ATC 9000 is already being sold at a fantastic price and it is well worth picking one up today. This is a revolutionarily different camera from Oregon, which has put them back in a fantastic position to compete with Go Pro and Contour!
